With the recent passing of David Bowie, music fans have been paying tribute to the legend in any way possible. From constellations to street signs to live performances, most everyone has strongly felt the loss of Mr. Bowie.

Now, it seems a Bowie tribute is set for the largest celebration of pop music in America, the Grammys. The one and only Lady Gaga will lead the tribute, and Chic’s Nile Rodgers will serve as musical director for the performance. Gaga was previously scheduled to perform, but the announcement of her playing Bowie was made earlier today.

A NYT interview with Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich reveals that a number of artists sought to play Bowie music on the awards show, but that Gaga made the most sense. Her solo piano performance is slated to last seven minutes, and will cover “three or four” Bowie songs. Considering the impact that both have made on music, fashion, and pop culture, the selection certainly seems like a fitting choice to pay respects to the legend.

Around the time of his passing, Lady Gaga commented on how she has been personally inspired by David Bowie. “When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls,” she said in The Hollywood Reporter.

The Grammy Awards air on February 15th, live on CBS. Adele, Kendrick Lamar, the Weeknd, Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt are also scheduled to perform.
