After much anticipation, the funk rock group Lettuce has announced the release of their fourth studio effort, Crush. The follow-up to 2012’s Fly will see the band bring out new originals, pumping them up with the outrageous live energy we all have come to know and love from a Lettuce show.

The band has premiered the first cut from this funky new release. Listen to “Phyllis” below:

The album does not yet have a release date, but we can hope it comes out by the end of 2015. If you’re having Lettuce withdrawals, you can catch guitarist Adam “Shmeeans” Smirnoff and trumpetist Eric “Benny” Bloom at the upcoming Funk N Jam show, tomorrow night (October 6th) at the Brooklyn Bowl. More info here.

Stay tuned to L4LM for all your Lettuce coverage, including a forthcoming documentary that spotlights the band making this album and working their way through some extensive touring.
