Coming off an epic rager of a party with Umphrey’s McGee down in St. Augustine last weekend, New York funk powerhouse Lettuce is bringing the good times down to New Orleans’ Civic Center on Friday April 24th (GET TIX HERE). From a band that had one of their most successful years in 2014, the group is poised to make 2015 an even bigger one. And in the funk world, that typically starts during the two week music extravaganza known as New Orleans Jazz Fest.

Lettuce will be bringing along the Stooges Brass Band and Quickie Mart on opening duties to join in the session. Since 1996, the Stooges’ high energy show on the stage and in the streets has engaged audiences with their innovative blend of traditional New Orleans brass sounds and contemporary hip-hop beats. Quickie Mart will be playing some “Bass From Deep Space, Beats And Tasty Treats.” Sounds like a good way to start off the first weekend of Jazz Fest.
