Last year, Umphrey’s McGee and Lettuce rocked the Northeast with a handful of tour dates together. Considering all the great collaborations that went down between the two groups, it’s no surprising that two of the Lettuce crew are planning to do it again. When Umphrey’s McGee brings their tour to the Joy Theater in New Orleans, LA on April 14th, Ryan Zoidis and Eric “Benny” Bloom will be there with them.

Zoidis (saxophone) and Bloom (trumpet) comprise The Shady Horns, a musical force in and of itself. When they bring their funk to Umphrey’s set in a couple of months, be prepared for some sonic gold. The Lettuce members are most likely in New Orleans ahead of Jazz Fest, as the horn players are sure to be featured on many jammed out lineups throughout the week-long celebration.
