The Tedeschi Trucks Band made their triumphant return to the stage last night, hitting the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC for the first night of a three night run. The show marked TTB’s first performance in almost a month, but will ultimately kick off a busy year for the band, who now has tour plans through the summer!

The band wasted no time getting to work, opening with “Freedom Highway” and bringing out fan favorites like “Get What You Deserve” and “Isn’t It A Pity.” The band covered Allen Toussaint’s “Get Out Of My Life Woman,” George Jones and Lawton Williams’ “Color of the Blues,” Santana’s “Soul Sacrifice” and more. They would close out the night with a two song encore, featuring two more classic covers: “How Blue Can You Get” and “Let’s Go Get Stoned.”

Fortunately, thanks to taper Alex Leary, we can stream full audio from this potent performance. Enjoy!
