Israeli livetronica pioneers Infected Mushroom has been making waves for decades now, bringing their unique fusion of live and electronic sounds to venues all across the world. As the group release their new album, Converting Vegetarians II, this Friday, October 9th, they’ll be bringing music new and old on the road throughout the fall.

Infected has two highly-anticipated shows at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, CO this Thursday and Friday, which will feature an “Almost Acoustic” set on night one and an “Animatronica” show on night two. Ahead of those releases, the group has shared their grooving, downtempo playlist, exclusively on Live for Live Music.

Stream it below:

We spoke to the band, who said, “These tunes are not a just a playlist but a journey in time of what Infected Mushroom is all about when producing experimental music as we like to call it.” See the full song selection below, and head to the band’s website for more information about the upcoming performances!

Infected Mushroom’s Downtempo Playlist

1. Shpongle – Divine Moments of Truth

This track was the first Psy-Chill tune (if you will) that really blew our minds back at the day, and really inspired us to try making something experimental… This is when we headed to the studio to produce ‘The Messenger’.

2. Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody

True oldschool rock tune that is constantly evolving, it’s a musical journey in and of itself…  just like what we try to do with each of our tunes. It’s a masterpiece and sounds amazing even today.

3. Dream Theater – Home

Not really a chill track, but this one really influenced us to write our free style tracks like HeavyWeight, Blue Swan 5, etc..

4. jViewz – Muse Breaks

One of our good friends, the amazing electronic producer jViewz, made this killer Chill/Break track… this was so good, we had to remix it. Became one of our most played tracks live.

5. Odesza – Say My Name

From the new school of chill, it sounds very positive & happy… we enjoy listening during our mornings 😉

6. Porter Robinson – Divinity

We love Porter Robinson, and this album is so out of the box for him.

7. Glass Animals – Hazey

Another chill song from the new school with a really simple and big sound… also on the breakfast playlist.

8. KOAN Sound – Dynasty

We just can’t get enough of this sick bass line & groove. This track also reflects sound design at its best.

9. Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb

Oldie but goodie, and it will always be here to stay. Obviously influenced the track ‘PinkFroid’ from CV2.

10. Fortis Saharof – Sparks

It’s an Israeli song that we grew up on. The song structure and chord changes are just so unique. It’s a good opportunities to learn Hebrew.

Tickets for the upcoming Colorado shows can be found here for night one, and here for night two.
