Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood and film soundtrack supervisor/music business jack-of-all-trades Zach Cowie make up all-vinyl DJ supergroup Wooden Wisdom. The duo’s sound is a mix of 70s and 80s disco and house, self-described as “paradise garage.” They will be making their way to the States this January for five stops, including a stint at Brookyn Bowl.
Wood has been experimenting with electronic production since pre-Frodo days, and Cowie has been at it for over a decade, touring with Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes and others. The two initially bonded over a mutual love for spinning vinyl. Check out their skills in an interview below, and see if they’re hitting your city this winter.
