Lotus has kicked off the New Year in fine fashion, returning to the 9:30 Club in Washington DC for the second of two nights. After the band peppered the first night with bust outs, big jams and more, the group returned with a great performance to round out the two night run.

The show featured a number of highlights, including a cover of Childish Gambino’s “Have My Love” and a big “Flower Sermon” > “Moonset” > “Flower Sermon” in the second set. One of the biggest surprises of the night, however, has to be the band’s performance of their famed song “Opus.” According to PT, this marked the song’s first appearance in a Lotus setlist since 2003 – a 14 year gap!
