To kick off their two-night stand at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Lotus showed up looking strong and ready to take no prisoners in 2017. Each of their two sets ended with solid jammed-out sequences, with the highlight being a six-song sequence that accounted for the majority of the second set. Starting off with “Through the Mirror,” the band built into “Slow Cookin'” before dropping into a four-song “Shimmer and Out” sandwich. “Shimmer and Out” transitioned to a classic “Sid” to “Flower Sermon,” though the boys threw a curve ball by seamlessly moving into “Shimmer and Out” to finish off the second set and the massive jam.
Lotus clearly has something big planned for tonight, when they will return to Stage AE and be joined by Pigeons Playing Ping Pong’s friendly flock. You can peep the setlist from Lotus’ last night’s show below.
