We all have our outlets from the normal day-to-day, and for San Francisco Giants pitcher Jake Peavy that means picking up the guitar and playing some Grateful Dead tunes. In a recent segment on MLB Network’s The Rundown, the former Cy Young Award winner opens up about just how much the music means to him.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise for Bay Area fans either, as Peavy has been known to use “Truckin'” as his intro music while taking the mound and “Shakedown Street” when he approaches the plate. Not to mention the whopping $15,000 that Peavy spent on an autographed poster at “Fare Thee Well” in Santa Clara, CA.

Check out the segment below of Peavy playing the Dead’s “Truckin'” and Jason Isbell’s “Tavelin’ Alone.”
