As part of Summer Camp Music Festival’s Grateful Dead tributes, festival headliner moe. joined up with Bruce Hornsby for a string of five songs yesterday afternoon, on Sunday May 24th. After opening the set with a fan-favorite, “New York City,” moe. wasted no time calling up the legendary pianist for the Dead tribute.

It all started with “Sugaree,” which moe. hasn’t performed since their set at the 2014 Tribute to the Wetlands with Jimmy Herring, Scott Murawski and more. The band brought it in full force throughout the whole tribute, playing “Loser,” before leading into the three-song combination of “Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin’s Tower.”

You can watch a sampler video of the collaboration, as presented by moe. via Facebook:

While ‘Fare Thee Well’ tickets are sold out, tickets are for many shows surrounding the Chicago sets, including a “Music Never Stopped” series and three shows from Pink Talking Fish, are still available.
