With the surprising announcement yesterday that Phish’s festival Magnaball was sold out of tickets, fans were left wondering one big question: just how many tickets did Phish sell?

A recent report in local publication The Leader has answered that question definitively: 30,000.

Schuyler County Administrator Tim O’Hearn was quoted in the article, saying: “The county permit has a 60,000 cap but I don’t think they are able to meet health department regs in laying out camping for more than 30K.” Watkins Glen, NY, where the festival is held, is part of Schuyler County.
