It’s time to get funky with this major announcement from The New Mastersounds, including a fall tour presented by Live For Live Music!

The British-based funk ensemble, backed by their core four of guitarist Eddie Roberts, drummer Simon Allen, bassist Pete Shand and organist Joe Tatton, have just announced a brand new album, Made For Pleasure. The 11-track offering will come out on October 2nd, but the group has premiered the title track ahead of the official release. Let loose with “Made For Pleasure”, streaming below.

Recorded in New Orleans, The New Mastersounds high-step through the humidity and heat leaving no soul or funk touchstone unturned. The title track is drenched in that The-Meters-meet-Lee-Dorsey Big Easy funk, but the full Made For Pleasure album promises a diverse array of soulful goodness. The New Mastersounds know what feels good and deliver it in spades on their latest LP, and rightfully so, as it was, after-all…Made For Pleasure.

Pre-orders for the album are going on right now, through Royal Potato Family’s official store.

Not only that, the group is teaming up with L4LM for an extensive US fall tour! The band will hit the road on September 30th, celebrating the album’s release with performances nationwide. The tour runs through November 7th, culminating in a funky throwdown with the Lettuce crew in Nashville, TN.

You can see the full schedule below! Pre-sale tickets will be released tomorrow, August 5th, with the option to purchase VIP packages for select shows that include copies of Made For Pleasure on CD/vinyl. Tickets and more information are all available via the band’s official website.
