We heard rumors that Col. Bruce Hampton was making a movie, and now there’s confirmation. With plans to release in 2016, the movie is about a reluctant dog track owner who makes the bet of a lifetime. With co-stars Fred Willard and Joey Lauren Adams, Col. Bruce faces a lot of problems, including his guitar student who becomes better than the teacher himself — played by our very own favorite 12-year-old Brandon “Taz” Niederauer. You can watch the movie teaser here:

Expect The Unexpected: The Legend of Col. Bruce Hampton

Neiderauer recently sat in with Aquarium Rescue Unit at The Capitol Theatre when his band Lions On The Moon opened and closed the night. The two have played together several times in New Orleans and New York. Neiderauer met Col. Hampton on Jam Cruise 12 during Music Masters Camps At Sea and have remained friends ever since. The movie is said to be a hit, and there are even rumors of Nikki Glaspie and George Porter Jr. in the movie as well.

This isn’t the first time Col. Bruce Hampton has pursued an acting career. Remember that time he was in the official music video for Run The Jewels “Blockbuster Night Part 1”?
