Newport Folk Festival has announced that they will host an all-star tribute to Bob Dylan. “’65 Revisited” will see an undisclosed all-star lineup paying homage to Dylan’s historic 1965 performance at the Newport Folk Festival, the pivotal moment when he “went electric” and forever changed the face of rock music, 50 years ago.

Dylan’s Fender Stratocaster from that iconic performance broke auction records by selling for nearly $1 million.

Dylan himself last played Newport in 2002. Festival producer Jay Sweet says that though they invite him back every year, he doesn’t anticipate any surprise appearances this year. “Having him back would be the least Newport way to celebrate it,” he said. “Trying to recreate that moment is a fool’s errand. We’re about the future, not about reliving the past.”

The tribute set will close out the festival on Sunday, July 26th in Newport, Rhode Island. The festival will feature headlining performances from Roger Waters, The Decemberists and more. Check out footage from Dylan’s original performance below.
