While Phish was taking care of business in Portsmouth, VA last night, Old Crow Medicine Show was paying homage to the jam legends in Shelburne, VT at The Green at Shelburne Museum, busting out covers of “Poor Heart” and “Lawn Boy” not too far from where the Vermont foursome sewd it’s roots more than 30 years ago. Despite no full-length videos surfacing yet, here are a few clips via CashOrTrade.org.

Known for their rich blend of bluegrass, folk, and country, Old Crow Medicine Show wouldn’t be the first band to come to mind when one thinks of those covering Phish songs, but in actuallity, a number of bluegrass and string bands have been turning their attention to Phish’s catalog in recent years. Check out Greensky Bluegrass‘s cover of “Rift” and the Infamous Stringdusters‘ cover of “Free” below.
