Orange Is The New Black Makes Hilarious Phish Reference [Watch]

Fans of the hit Netflix show Orange Is The New Black have had quite the weekend, as the fourth season was released last Friday, June 17th. The show continues to be one of the most engaging dramas on television, and their connection with popular culture and music only strengthens their writing. Phish fans who watch the show certainly have noticed the occasional nods to the Vermont jammers throughout the series.

Last year, it was new character Soso that mentioned Trey Anastasio as part of her hippie background. This year, it was the character Taystee who mentioned Phish in Episode 9, saying that with some newfound money she would “follow D’Angelo around like them white people be following that band Phish, but they spell the word Phish wrong.” Amazing.
