Phish’s Page McConell will join three of the Original Meters – guitarist Leo Nocentelli, drummer, drummer Zigaboo Modeliste and bassist George Porter Jr. – on Halloween and November 1st.  The super group will be dubbed theMetermen and have chosen B.B. Kings Blues Club as the launch pad for some unadulterated funk.   While some fans might be disappointed about the lack of a Phish Halloween show, in which the band covers another artists album, Live For Live Music & New York City will proudly embrace these masters of funk for an epic two-show run on one of the spookiest times of the year, where musical magic always happens.  George Porter and McConnell originally played together with PBS in September of 2008 as well as one-off performances in 2007 and 2009.  This is just another one of the reasons why we love NOLA Funk, Phish, and New York City.

Tickets will go on sale for the October 31st show directly on the B.B. King Blues Club website on July 20th at noon here.
