John Kadlecik is perhaps best known for his role in Furthur, but the guitarist has been faithfully touring with music of his own and of the Grateful Dead. His recent “Acousti’Lectric” tour has seen Kadlecik perform his first set acoustically, without accompaniment, before grouping with a backing band for a second set on the electric guitar. That format was put to work at the Funky Biscuit last week, when Kadlecik was joined by renowned bassist Oteil Burbridge at the Boca Raton, FL venue.

Burbridge sat in during Kadlecik’s acoustic set, joining him for two songs: “Easy To Slip” and “Terrapin Station”. Even though Kadlecik and Burbridge haven’t formally been involved in the same projects, its nice to see the music of the Grateful Dead bringing the two stellar musicians together.

Fortunately, full audio from the performance has just surfaced. Listen to the sit in as part of the full performance, courtesy of taper Dan Nolan Jr. – spyder9.
