Pearl Jam returned to Madison Square Garden for their second consecutive night, playing back-to-back capacity crowds at the storied New York venue. After night one was full of musical surprises, the second night followed suit with even more debuts, as well as some very special guests.

The show opened with fan-favorite “Corduroy,” before diving into classics like “Mind Your Manners” and “Once.” One of the major highlights of the main set was a cover of Cheap Trick’s “Surrender,” powered by Rick Nielsen and Tom Petersen. The two helped Pearl Jam rock the tune in style!

The set raged on with a brief “man” theme, as the band played “Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town,” “Nothingman,” “Leatherman, and “Better Man” in the middle of the main set. They also brought out classics like “Even Flow” and “Jeremy,” much to the crowd’s delight.

After leaving for the encore, Eddie Vedder returned by himself for a solo acoustic performance of The Beatles’ “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away.”

Of course, one of the major highlights of the whole show was a duet sung by Vedder and the great Sting, who emerged in the second encore for a version of “Driven To Tears.” The Police cover was a beautiful moment highlighting an incredible rock and roll show. Watch it go down below:

Pearl Jam wrapped up the show with a few more classics, including a cover of The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” and a finale of “Yellow Ledbetter.” The band resumes touring on Thursday, May 5th, with a performance in Quebec City, ON. You can check out the full setlist from last night, below:
