Phil Lesh brought a bevy of great friends to his own Terrapin Crossroads last night, continuing his ongoing tribute to the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary by recreating setlists from each year in the band’s storied history. This particular show highlighted the Dead’s concert at the Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, MI, from December 14, 1971.

Performing with Scott Metzger, Jason Crosby, Stu Allen and Jay Lane, and featuring special guest vocal/guitar/harmonica sit-ins from Ross James, the band kicked into high gear with an show-opening version of “Truckin’.” Complete with renditions of “Run Run Rudolph” and some Pigpen-esque versions of “Big Boss Man” and “Next Time You See Me,” this is one rockin’ show.
