The Jake Peavy Foundation have teamed up with the Rex Foundation for a very special Can’t Stop The Train: A Tribute to Jerry Garcia on August 17 at the esteemed Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. The lineup, which features Jackie Greene, Col. Bruce Hampton, Cody and Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars, Jeff Sipe of the Aquarium Rescue Unit, Jennifer Hartswick of Trey Anastasio Band, and Jake Peavy with his band the Outsiders, just got even more special with the addition of Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh.

“We can’t thank Phil enough for joining us for this special evening to honor Jerry and raise money for a good cause,” said Jake Peavy in a statement. “Having an original member of the Grateful Dead on stage with us, honoring Jerry Garcia––it’s just going to make for a very memorable night and we can’t wait.”

The evening, which will honor the life and works of Jerry Garcia and raise money for both foundations, will serve as a preface to the following day’s festivities at AT&T Park, where the San Francisco Giants will host Jerry Garcia Tribute Day before playing against the New York Mets.
