On New Year’s Eve of 2016, Phish made it literally rain inside Madison Square Garden with an extraordinarily choreographed rendition of their newest composition, “Petrichor.” Complete with the horn section from the Trey Anastasio Band, as well as percussionist Andres Forero, the band gave “Petrichor” the full treatment for a remarkable display on New Year’s Eve.

The fun didn’t stop there, as the band then dropped inflatable cats and dogs over the crowd (and themselves!) during “Auld Lang Syne,” before ushering in the New Year with a triumphant rendition of “Suzy Greenberg.” It was quite the demonstration to put an end to 2016.

Thanks to Phish, we can share a full pro-shot video of the “Petrichor” > “Auld Lang Syne” > “Suzy Greenberg” celebration! Revisit the exciting memory below.
