Funky jam rockers Pigeons Playing Ping Pong put together an enormously successful Domefest earlier this year, and they want to share the love! The band has just announced the release of recordings from each of their sets at Domefest, giving fans an opportunity to relive each themed set with a gusto. Night one saw the band play a “Moonwalk: A Trip Through Space” themed set, while night two was “The Liquid: An Ocean Adventure” and night three was “Melting Lights: A Color Explosion.”
To get you in the groove, the band has shared a stellar video from their “trip through space,” bringing out their original tune “Whoopie” before segueing into Prince’s “1999” and Deodato’s “2001.” The numeric song title play was not lost on fans, who were eager to hear the band’s debut version of the Prince cover jam its way into the band’s first “2001” since New Year’s of 2014.
