Hybrid tribute fusion band Pink Talking Fish settled into Nectar’s last night, playing the first of three shows at the famed Burlington, VT venue. For the occasion, Pink Talking Fish decided to keep fans in suspense for each night, not revealing the themes until they took to the stage. Night one was thusly revealed to be “PTF Is Bowie,” as the band worked songs by David Bowie into their familiar repertoire of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish.

They also welcomed some special guests for the occasion, as singer Hayley Jane helped out on lead vocals for a handful of songs, and the band also featured saxophonist Matt Dolliver. Below, you can see a couple of videos from the night, including a duet on “Under Pressure” with Hayley Jane and keyboardist Richard James. That song segues into the Talking Heads’ hit “Take Me To The River,” and you can also see a video of “Life On Mars?” with Hayley Jane on vocals, below. Videos courtesy of Benny Tucker.
