With their second annual Fort Funk event at the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, CO, coming up this weekend, Eufórquestra has debuted their latest single, “Colorado Kicked.” The anthemic number, which was recorded and mixed with Orgone’s Sergio Rios at Killion Sound in North Hollywood, CA, is the first single to be released from the session, with more on the way.
Keyboardist Matt Wright captured Euforquestra’s long-time positive message in his writing, noting, “I set out to write something short and in-your-face, an instrumental rallying cry that says, ‘Let’s do this!’ I think we achieved that with ‘Colorado Kicked.’ It was great to record at Killion Sound, the home base of one of our favorite modern funk bands, Orgone. The vintage gear and intimate setting helped give the track a raw, gritty quality – definitely the vibe the song calls for.”

The Fort Funk show on Friday will feature special guest Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds) along with both Tnertle and Moves At Midnight. The night will also feature a special, fruit-forward hoppy beer brewed by Odell Brewing Company for this event only, dubbed Brewforquestra Pale Ale.
