The Trongone Band is a perfect mix of soulful down-South rock ‘n’ roll and classic Americana-style jamming. The band, which hails from Richmond, Virginia, has been gearing up in recent months, as the group is set to release their debut album, Keys To The House, on June 30th via Harmonized Records. The four-piece is composed of brothers Andrew and Johnny Trongone along with keyboardist Ben “Wolfe” White and bassist Todd Herrington. Together, the quartet has come together to create an old-school and all-in-the-family sound reminiscent of the Allman Brothers while still keeping it fresh with their cutting original compositions that also infuse funk and blues into the mix.

In promotion of their upcoming album, Keys To The House, The Trongone Band has been kind enough to share their latest single with Live For Live Music. The song is called “Anne Marie,” and it’s definitely something you’re going to want to check out. As Andrew Trongone says of number, “Anne Marie, what can I say about her? She was originally written as a slower, half-time ballad-type tune. While keeping the band mind, I wanted to write a song driven by harmonies and heartbreak. It later morphed into the upbeat southern rock-style song pushed by electric guitar with a little country swing. Who is she? Although a fictional name, was inspired by a true story and is just simply ‘the one who got away.’ We’ve all got an Anne Marie, and that’s why this is a song for everyone.”

You can check out the Live For Live Music premiere of The Trongone Band’s “Anne Marie” below.
