2014 marks the third annual Peach Music Festival, an Allman Brothers Band– hosted festival held from August 14-17 on Montage Mountain, in Scranton, PA. With performances from Trey Anastasio Band, Bob Weir & RatDog, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, and so many more, Peachfest is guaranteed to be a great time.

Situated on Montage Mountain, festival organizers have maximized this family destination for festival use. The price of ticket includes free admission to a waterpark, smack dab in the middle of the festival grounds. Trust us, there’s nothing better than listening to live music while riding on a lazy river.

This year’s lineup offers a rich blend of various genres, with rock, bluegrass, funk, jam, and dance music. The main hosts, The Allman Brothers Band, will be performing two headlining sets, including a full performance of the band’s pivotal album, “Eat A Peach.” As this is be the last year that ABB will have guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes in the lineup, these shows will be the stuff of legends.

Both guitarists will also be performing with their own bands. Tedeschi-Trucks Band always brings their soulful blues music, and Gov’t Mule will undoubtedly play a rockin’ set with their frontman Warren Haynes. Not to mention ABB drummer Jaimoe, and his mellow jazz band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band.

Additional noteworthy sets include performances from Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio and Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir. Cabinet will be bringing their bluegrass vibes for two sets of Pennsylvania bluegrass, and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic add a bit of a funky sound to the mix. Lotus and Big Gigantic give the festival a bit of a dance-music edge; welcome additions to an extremely talented and diverse lineup of artists.

Tickets for the festival are on sale through their official website. Act now, and see you there!
