Consequence of Sound and the Courier Journal are reporting that Prince has announced a “Hit & Run” tour, and will spontaneously reveal tour date information leading up to each individual show. Only the city, show date, and ticket on-sale time have been released for the first show: Louisville, KY, March 14th, with tickets on sale on March 9th at 10 AM local time via Live Nation.
Prince chose Louisville in honor of 3RDEYEGIRL drummer Hannah Welton, who is former graduate of the Louisville Leopard percussionists. You may remember them for their Led Zeppelin percussion medley that we shared recently.
Prince did something similar in the UK for a good chunk of time of last year, in promotion of Art Official Age and PLECTRUMELECTRUM, so expect some great performances in the US – albeit, at random.
