Rapper Travi$ Scott was arrested at Lollapalooza this past weekend for disorderly conduct just five minutes into his show after encouraging attendees to ignore authorities and hop the barriers to get up to the stage. The crowd promptly followed his instructions and rushed the stage, after which point security got involved and the show was stopped. Scott fled the scene but was later taken into police custody for inciting a riot.

A police report, according to ABC Chicago, explained, “The performer played one song and then began telling fans to come over the barricades. Due to the security’s quick response, the situation was remedied immediately and no fans were injured. The performer fled the scene and was taken into custody a short while later.”

Scott later posted the following to his Instagram with the message “Love to fans. Thank u lollapalooza. Learned a lot from this.”
