It has been three years since the Red Hot Chili Peppers released I’m With You, the first album to feature guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, which was also produced by Rick Rubin. It has been an eventful 2014 so far for the band and its members: a performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, followed by an appearance with Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl, bassist Flea announced plans for an autobiography along with recording new material for the Antemasque album (w/ members of Mars Volta), and Chad Smith finally had his drum-off against Will Ferrell recently.

Well, it looks like the band has found time to head into the studio to record some new material for a yet-to-be-named album. Check back with L4LM for more updates. The bandout this video on their Facebook and Instagram pages on Tuesday, with very brief snippets of an untitled track. Good to see the Chili Peppers back in the studio.
