Well, this looks like a fun time!

The 2nd annual Seafood and Reggae Beach Party is coming to Governor’s Island on August 22! This year’s lineup features some of reggae’s finest, including:

Badfish Sublime Tribute performing 40oz of Freedom in its entirety
High Times Cannabis Cup Band performing Bob Marley Tribute
Gary Nesta Pine (former lead singer of The Wailers)
Top Shotta Band ft. Screechy Dan
plus DJ Jah Culture

The music will play from 2 PM-9 PM accompanied by a day full of top-notch seafood including lobster rolls, clams and fried calamari. Seems like the ideal summer day! The event is all ages (under 18 must be accompanied by a parent). Get tickets here.

TO GET THERE: The Governor’s Island ferry departs from the Battery Maritime Building located at 10 South Street, adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry in Lower Manhattan. The ferry terminal is accessible as follows: By Subway / 1 to South Ferry station / 4, 5 to Bowling Green station / R to Whitehall St. station.
