Slayer has announced plans to release their first studio album in six years. Repentless will be the band’s first release since the death of guitarist Jeff Hanneman in 2013. One of Hanneman’s compositions appears on the album, as well as a track penned in his honor.

The 12-track release features their recent Record Store Day exclusive “When The Stillness Comes” as well as 2014’s “Implode.” “Every version of those songs you may have heard before is different, so I think that’s cool, but I also wanted them to be part of a collection,” said guitarist Kerry King in Metal Hammer. “I like the finality of songs belonging on a record.”
