NOLA-based brass sensations The Soul Rebels took their big band funk out to Tokyo last weekend, surprising fans at the Summer Sonic Festival. Making their debut in Japan, the band appeared during headlining sets from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Marilyn Manson!
The appearance was in support of their 2012 album Unlock Your Mind, which was just recently released in Japan. They’ll also be headlining the Blue Note Jazz Club in Tokyo, tonight (8/17) and tomorrow (8/18).
