Viva Las Vegas!

The String Cheese Incident rolled into Sin City last night, cruising in from Los Angeles to set up shop at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, NV. The band opened up the run with a cover-heavy show, but that didn’t stop them from bringing out some classic original tunes. The group opened up with “Shine” and jammed into “Rhythm of the Road,” which in turn segued into “Can’t Stop Now.”

The set continued with the return of “Farther,” which was busted out earlier on the March Madness tour. From there, the group went into “MLT” before picking up into the first Bob Marley cover of the night, “Could You Be Loved.” New song “Stop Drop Roll” ended the first set.

More of the great Cheesy goodness came from set two, as the band opened up with the always electro-funky song, “Rosie.” The original even featured a cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” before returning to finish up “Rosie.” Next up was “Way Back Home,” followed by a rendition of Rusty Wier’s “Don’t It Make You Wanna Dance.” Watch that below, courtesy of Mark Waite:

“Seventh Step” followed, and a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “The Ocean” kicked off a final string of songs, including “Tinder Box,” “Black Clouds” and a cover of Bob Marley’s “Soul Shakedown Party.” The group wrapped things up with a rendition of “This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)” by the Talking Heads, closing out the show in style.
