The String Cheese Incident was on fire last night for night two of their three-night headlining appearance at Electric Forest. The band’s yearly “spectacle” was nothing short of epic, with a space theme consisting of flying rocket ships, giant bouncy ball planets and a massive orb-like structure floating through the sky carrying a mesmerizing acrobatic performer. Not to mention insane fireworks, confetti, hoopers and the works. Cheese sure knows how to do it up.

String Cheese Incident Brings Out Skrillex And Preservation Hall Jazz Band

Amidst an incredible, jam-heavy first set, the band debuted a new song, “Stop Drop Roll.” After crushing classics like “Desert Dawn” and “Song In My Head,” the band covered 80s classic “Take On Me,” which made for a fun dance party. The set came to a close with “Rosie” as fans begged for more.

Set two opened with the inspirational track “You’ve Got The World,” followed by a rare “Texas.” The band closed with their first ever cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Terrapin Station” just as the Dead kicked off their Fare Thee Well reunion run in Santa Clara, which included a crazy dubstep interlude, followed by a “Rollover” closer.

This band is always reinventing the wheel and proving why they’re one of the most forward-thinking, dynamic jam bands out there. Watch some clips below.
