String Cheese Incident brought their exciting fall tour out to the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA last night, pulling out all the spots on what has been an incredibly fun run of performances. With big bust-outs the previous two nights, including “SKAT” in Pittsburgh and “San Jose” in Syracuse, the band took a different approach with their surprises in Boston.

The first surprise with David Fiuczynski, who joined the band during the second set for a version of “Impressions”. The guitarist added some heat to a monster performance. However, it was the encore that took the performance to new heights, as the band went all-acoustic for it. Opening the encore with The Beatles’ “I’ve Just Seen A Face”, the band dusted off “Lester Had A Coconut” and “Lonesome Road”, both performed for the first time in 2015.

String Cheese hits NYC for the first of two performances tonight at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, before shipping off to Florida for Hulaween this weekend. If you’re in NYC for Cheese, be sure to stick around for Jason Hann’s new side project Oktopus, along with Todd Stoops and special guests Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine) and Hayley Jane. The Oktopus crew will hit BB King’s immediately following SCI’s performance, TONIGHT. Tickets and more information can be found here.
