Streets surrounding the Grateful Dead reunion shows were shut down by bomb and arson teams after a “suspicious material” was discovered in the South Loop area today. Two blocks near Soldier Field were blocked off as the mysterious tank was investigated. As it turns out, the tank contained nitrous oxide (laughing gas) which is often huffed outside of concerts in the form of balloons as a way of getting high. Nope, not a bomb, just hippie crack.

The streets have now been reopened and local residents can resume their normal existence prior to Deadhead infiltration.
