Move over Bluegrass Underground, there’s a new live music program coming to public television. Titled Live At 9:30, the new “modern-day music variety show” is hosted by Squarespace and will see a mixture of music performances, comedy sketches, and more!
Due to premiere in April 2016, Live At 9:30 has tapped The Arcs, Tove Lo, Ibeyi, EL VY, Misterwives, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Frank Turner, MS MR, Cold War Kids, Youth Lagoon, Jess Glynne and more for the first three episodes of the series. Henry Rollins and Hannibal Buress will also be featured as contributors.
We’re certainly hoping the show branches out into the jam scene as it continues to develop, but we couldn’t be happier for the fine folks who run the establishment. The series will air one episode per month, so keep your eyes out for some great live music on Live At 9:30.
