Tragedy struck the Mad Decent Boat Party cruise ship last week, when a woman was observed jumping off of the boat into the open waters. To date, the Coast Guard have been unable to discover her whereabouts.
The woman’s name is Kaylyn Rose Sommer, a 24-year-old woman who has a 6-year-old daughter. Reports indicate that Sommer jumped off the boat intentionally, though further details have yet to be revealed.
Mad Decent Boat Party is an EDM-themed cruise, with scheduled performances from Skrillex and Major Lazer among many more activities.
When the ship returned to shore, FBI agents were on hand to conduct an investigation. A spokesperson from the FBI, Michael Leverock, confirmed this report, saying that “Agents met the ship as it pulled into port.”
