Chicago funk band The Heard is working on their debut album, but they need your help! With a heavy touring schedule demanding most of their time, the band is calling on support from friends and fans alike to help them release their debut album.

Recorded in Los Angeles with Orgone’s Sergio Rios, the eleven tracks of the album are mixed and nearly ready for release. With mastering, distribution and promotion still looming, the band has launched a Kickstarter page, offering fans who donate everything from pre-release singles, signed merchandise, even an evening playing N64 and eating pizza with the band! Sign us up!

To top it all off, the page includes a motivational, Sarah McLachlan/ASPCA-style video with Simon Allen of The New Mastersounds, who starts off by saying “Please say you’ll be the answer for an innocent band who’s suffering right now. A band who’s forgone their dignity to save up for their debut album…” It’s a hilarious clip that will leave you in stitches.

Head to the band’s Kickstarter page and watch the hilarious video now, but don’t forget to contribute to the cause!
