This weekend marks the exciting return of the California Roots Festival, hitting the Monterey County Fairgrounds in Monterey, CA from May 27-29. The festival will feature headlining sets from Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Atmosphere, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Damien “Jr Gong” Marley, and Michael Franti and Spearhead, alongside other top tier reggae and roots acts. The festival will also bring a heavy dose of Caribbean artists this year, including Protege, Raging Fyah, Barrington Levy and Tarrus Riley. Also, the event will feature live DJs for the first time, with sounds provided by artists such as Amp Live, Westafa and Dub Architect.
For those who can’t make it out to Monterey for this, fear not! The festival has partnered with LiveList to create a totally unique channel, which will host multiple stream events throughout the entire weekend of music.
