The Soul Rebels brought the funky repertoire of Vulfpeck to New Orleans, delivering a slowed-down, almost jazzy, yet funky-as-ever, “Funky Duck” over on Frenchman’s Street at The Blue Nile. While missing the powerful vocals of Antwaun Stanley, The Soul Rebels certainly applied their vocal chords to their brass-heavy horns section and kept the entertainment level at an all-time-high. The two bands have collaborated before, during New Orleans Jazz Festival at The Orpheum Theatre, which you can watch here.
