Someone Built A Memorial For Victims Of The DMB Poop Dump Incident

On August 8th, 2004, Dave Matthews Band’s tour bus illegally dumped 800 lbs of raw sewage off of the Kinzie Street Bridge onto the heads of people aboard Chicago’s First Lady, an architectural tour bus heading down the Chicago River. The waste splashed into the eyes and mouths of over 100 passengers. Five were taken into the hospital for tests and treatment.

A civil complaint was subsequently filed seeking $60,000 against the band and driver Stefan A. Wohl for illegally polluting the river by dumping “liquid waste” from the bus’s septic tank. 

Now, on the 11th anniversary of the event, some noble citizens have erected a memorial in honor of the victims of the “poop dump.” #NeverForget
