The Travelin‘ McCourys have announced plans for a new Bluegrass Ball event dubbed “Grateful Ball”, along with the Jeff Austin Band. The performance will take place in St. Louis, MO on June 10th at the Urban Chestnut Brewing Company’s The Grove. The event will feature a full set from each band, with the Grateful Dead set scheduled to close out the evening as both acts join each other on stage.
The McCourys just came off a three-night Bluegrass Ball run of shows out in Colorado, with shows at The Aggie in Ft. Collins and Cervantes in Denver. The band brought along special guests such as Bill Nershi of the String Cheese Incident, and both Paul Hoffman and Anders Beck from Greensky Bluegrass, and members of The Infamous Stringdusters. Del McCoury joined the festivities last Saturday night, April 23rd, in Denver.
