A Prairie Home Companion has been a staple of music programming for over 40 years, featuring all sorts of accomplished musicians. The public radio show started in 1974 with host Garrison Keillor, who passed over the reins to Chris Thile earlier this year. Thile has been incorporating guest artists into the Prairie fold, and today, it was announced that Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio will make his debut appearance on the famed show!

According to the new announcement, Anastasio will appear on the November 19th episode of the weekly program, performing live at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Performing Arts Complex in Denver, CO. As of now, it’s unknown what music Anastasio will be performing, but he will assumedly be performing with the show’s new host, Chris Thile. Thile recently got Jack White to come out of his hiatus for an appearance on the show. Comedian Tig Notaro will also be a guest performer during the program.

Anastasio is currently in the midst of a fall tour with Phish, who recently performed with the great Bob Weir. Tickets for this exciting A Prairie Home Companion show are on sale now, and can be found here.
