Coming off of Phish’s annual summer-closing run at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado, Trey Anastasio is already making use of his free time while the Vermont quartet is on break for the fall. The Phish guitarist hit the road this weekend with his side project, Trey Anastasio Band, for a three-day run across the Northeast around two festival appearances in New Brunswick, Canada, and Vermont. This weekend’s run comes ahead of Trey Anastasio Band’s six-date mini fall tour around Halloween next month and two symphony performances at the end of September.

On Friday, Trey Anastasio Band kicked off its three-day stint, performing a headlining set at Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Last night, the band continued their run, crossing back into the United States for a show at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine, ahead of today’s performance at Grand Point North Festival in Burlington, Vermont. During yesterday’s show in Portland, Trey Anastasio and company offered up a fairly standard setlist that pulled heavily from the previous day’s performance at Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. Ten songs—”Curlew’s Call”,  “Sand”, “Liquid Time”, “Shine”, “Valentine”, “Simple Twist Up Dave”, “The Parting Glass”, and a cover of Gorillaz‘s “Clint Eastwood”—of the show’s twenty-two had been played the day prior.
