Philadelphia’s funktronica powerhouse Tweed has just announced a new round of dates on their Electric Donuts 2016 tour. They’ll return home October 1 for their album release party at Underground Arts with Wobblesauce and Agent Zero. Tweed’s studio EP, The Chunky Life, is set for release Sep 30.
As the band crosses over 100 shows in 2016, they show no signs of slowing down. In September, Tweed will shoot across the United States, hitting Astral Observatory Festival in Missouri, making stops in Chicago, Kalamazoo, and Columbus, then make their way up to Maine for Great North with The Disco Biscuits. They’ll also play a free show at NYC’s Central Park Bandshell on Sep 18.
“We’re beyond ready to put this album in everyone’s ears.” said Joe Vela, drummer for Tweed. “I was especially excited to work with psychedelic surrealism artist Larry Carlson on the album artwork and I love the way it all turned out.”
