Two music fans, Jeff Steckler and Charlie Wildman, are planning a cross-country musically-inspired biking trip for charity, as the duo will ride from this weekend’s DelFest, in Cumberland, MD, to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado next month. Dubbed “DelURide,” cleverly, the two are hoping to raise more than $20,000 for the “Chase Your Dream” foundation located near New Orleans, LA.

The 2,000 mile journey will be an arduous one, but it’s something that Steckler and Wildman have been discussing for many years. When their friend Chase Treadley started the CYDF, the duo knew that their cross-country biking trip could be a reality.

The duo are accepting donations via their YouCaring website, and will document the journey on their Facebook page. They’ve already raised upwards of 6,000 dollars, so hopefully some L4LM fans can help them to reach their goal!

DelFest began last night, while Telluride Bluegrass Festival runs from June 18-21. By our calculations, they’ll have 24 days to ride 1,803 miles, or 75 miles per day. Good luck guys!
