On Wednesday October 1st, Tycho (aka Scott Hansen) will be bringing his ambient, spaceychillfunky MIDI-driven nature sounds to Terminal 5, along with Beacon and Christopher Willits. These three fantastic artists are guaranteed to make for one incredible night of music.

Chances are if you are reading this, you’ve heard Tycho’s recent LP with label Ghostly International, Awake. If you haven’t, do so ASAP. Ghostly International says of the release: “Lengthy touring for Awake brought Tycho to its full potential, and in efforts to capture the energy on the road Hansen, invited [Zac] Brown and [Rory] O’Connor in to the creative process. Both the sound and artwork of Awake capture Hansen’s stylistic shift, conjuring a more kinetic and percussive sensory experience.”

As a full band, Tycho’s artistic vision has come to life, which, by all accounts, will make for an enthralling concert experience. Also performing at the show are Beacon and Christopher Willits, two emerging artists in the business. Brooklyn duo Beacon released their first EP last year, with an emphasis on beautiful sonic exploration to investigate bleak emotions, connecting out of phase sound waves with the feeling of separation. Christopher Willits will be opening the show, and, dubbed the “Picasso of sound,” Willits’ live performances are nothing short of spectacular.

Three great artists for one great night. If you are on the fence about going to this concert, the correct answer is a resounding yes! See you there. Tickets are still available via the Terminal 5 website.
